The Sydney Tattoo Convention returns to the iconic Sydney Town Hall from 6–8 August 2027, bringing together leading Australian and international tattoo artists for three unforgettable days of tattooing, art and culture.
Following an incredible 2026 event, we’re preparing to bring the tattoo community together once again for live tattooing, tattoo competitions, art exhibitions, entertainment and special events inside one of Sydney’s most historic venues.
Presented by Australian Tattoo Arts Ltd, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting and celebrating tattooing as a respected art form, the convention connects tattoo artists, collectors, enthusiasts and the wider community.

The Sydney Tattoo Convention 2027 will take place inside the iconic Sydney Town Hall from 6–8 August. Located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, this historic venue provides a spectacular setting for three days of live tattooing, art, exhibitions, competitions and entertainment.
Sydney Town Hall is conveniently located near Town Hall Station, light rail and major bus services, with the Queen Victoria Building directly opposite. Accessible entry is available from Druitt Street, with lifts and accessible facilities throughout the venue.

The convention is held at the iconic Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000. The venue is located beside Town Hall Station and is easily accessible by train, metro, light rail and bus.
When do tickets for Sydney Tattoo Convention 2027 go on sale?
Tickets are not on sale yet. Ticket information and on-sale dates will be announced through our website, social media and mailing list.
Do I need an entry ticket if I’m getting tattooed?
Yes. Everyone entering Sydney Tattoo Convention needs a valid event ticket, including visitors who have booked a tattoo appointment with an attending artist.

JOIN THE 2027 MAILING LISTHow do I book a tattoo with an attending artist?
The 2027 artist line-up has not been announced yet. Once it is live, you’ll be able to browse the artist directory and contact your chosen artist directly using the booking details on their profile or Instagram.
Tattoo appointments are organised directly with each artist and not through the convention.
Can I get a walk-up tattoo at the convention?
Yes. Many attending tattoo artists offer walk-up appointments during the convention. Availability varies between artists, so arrive early, explore the artist booths and ask about available designs and times.
Will food and drinks be available?
Yes. Food, alcoholic drinks and non-alcoholic options will be available throughout the weekend. The full food and beverage offering will be announced closer to the event.

How to Get to Sydney Tattoo Convention 2027
Sydney Town Hall
483 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000
Sydney Town Hall is located in the heart of the Sydney CBD, directly opposite the Queen Victoria Building and close to trains, metro, light rail and major bus services.
Train
Town Hall Station is located directly beside the venue and connects with train services from across Sydney, including the Airport Line.
Metro
Gadigal Station on the M1 Metro Line is a short walk from Sydney Town Hall.
Light Rail
L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford light rail services stop at Town Hall on George Street, directly outside the venue.
Bus
Regular bus services stop around Town Hall, Park Street, Druitt Street and the Queen Victoria Building.
Accessible entry to Sydney Town Hall is available from Druitt Street.
